Designed for usability
The iPF655 is designed to fit into any CAD/GIS environment. The compact, slim design and all front operation means you can install the printer anywhere – even flush against a wall to save valuable office space. The large LCD control panel features graphic animations so it’s quick and easy to get to grips with. Prints are automatically stacked in the high capacity basket to prevent damage and there’s even a handy print timer to track how long a job will take to complete. For environments with multiple users there is a 80Gb hard disk to store print jobs and to make processing large vector files even easier.

High productivity
Expect exceptional productivity with draft A1 prints in just 30 seconds. Canon’s L-COA image processing technology and Gigabit Ethernet ensure stunning high speed reproductions on everything from architectural plans to geographic information.

The Media Mismatch function maintains productivity in networked environments through the hard disk drive. When a job is sent to print with a different media to that which is loaded, the user is informed via the operation panel and is given the option to cancel it, print it anyway or change the media. In the meantime, the iPF655 continues with other jobs in the queue. 'Hot-swap' ink tanks allow ink cartridges to be replaced during printing for maximum productivity.

Economical and efficient
A built in accounting function allows you to track the cost per print and the overall cost of your printer and enables you to view the data through the printer driver, or export it to a CSV file for use in your own files. In Economy mode the printer uses less ink and Canon’s eMaintenance software automatically detects and manages mechanical problems and low ink levels and links directly to a Canon service centre for maximum uptime.

Exceptional quality & accuracy
Canon’s 5-colour dye and pigment reactive ink system produces vivid colours and the sharpest, thinnest lines and the new magenta ink makes the red gamut even better. The range of accuracy is +/- 0.1% and the minimum line width of 0.02mm so precision is guaranteed. Images are rendered at 2,400 x 1,200 dpi for maximum impact due to the super-fine print heads containing 15,360 nozzles.

Built for demanding workflows
The iPF655 is HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL compatible, including palette and pen settings. It contains an HDI driver for AutoCAD and for Microsoft Office users, there is a plug-in to print in Word, Excel and PowerPoint directly from the application.
