Proofing Accreditations
We have the UK’s only Fogra certified engineers

Why choose a Fogra certified printer?
The Fogra certification is the internationally recognised mark of distinction for sheet-fed and web offset printers. Certification to ISO 12647-7 through Fogra's Process Standard Offset demonstrates a printer's commitment to the highest standards in print quality. Based on measurable criteria for proofing and printing in a production environment, achieving Fogra certification shows a printer has the internal controls to consistently hit precise international printing standards.

Adhering to strict regulations
To become a Fogra certified printer, companies have to demonstrate control of their colour workflow. These standards are based on ISO 12647-7. The company is then audited regularly to confirm that they are maintaining the Fogra standard.

Helping print buyers and designers
Fogra certified printers will produce an accurate reproduction of your work. They will produce proofs which you can rely on for both content and colour. Fogra Certified printers will:
  • Be able to print to ISO 12647-7.
  • Proof to ISO 12647-7 using the ISOcoatedv2 profile.
  • Be able to explain the rendering intents they use and when they use them.
  • Explain the procedures they use when an image has an embedded profile and when it has not.
You can produce accurate proofs on your own premises because you know exactly how the printer will handle your files.

We're also carbon neutral...

What does it mean?
For a company to be carbon neutral it needs to reach zero net carbon emissions. Annually, London Graphic Systems emits about 83 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere – our carbon footprint. The largest contributions to this total come from the electricity we use and transportation of our engineers and equipment.  There are two ways in which we can bring this total down:
  1. Reduce our carbon footprint: There are many technologies out there that can help us to reduce this total. We have already cut this figure by switching to a green electricity supplier. Our energy supplier has pledged to generate the equivalent amount of energy that we use in hydro-electricity.
  2. Offsetting: As a company we will always emit some carbon emissions. The recommended way of compensating for these is to invest in offset projects that make an equivalent carbon saving.
At London Graphic Systems, our strategy is to take measures to further reduce our carbon footprint combined with a progressive offsetting strategy. The more emissions we cut in future, the less carbon we have to offset to reach carbon neutral status.

Investing in projects to save carbon
This year, in partnership with CarbonClear we have purchased credits in carbon reduction projects around the world to offset 83 tonnes of CO2. Our investment will help to deliver schemes where the aim is to reduce greenhouse gases.
